Quinceañeras / Families / Celebrations

Quinceañera video: the film of the night and the clips to share.

Esteban edits footage from the videographer, the photographer or the guests into a highlight film and vertical social clips the family approves. He can also film the celebration in person.

Based in Fort Lauderdale, working across Miami-Dade and Broward. Remote editing: from $100 per video. On-location filming is a paid add-on scoped per project; the Local Presence package is from $800 per production day.

What a quinceañera edit has to get right.

The moments in order

A quinceañera has a running order: the arrival, the entrance with the court, the father-daughter waltz, the change of shoes, the surprise dance, the toast. The highlight follows that order, so the film tells the night the way the family lived it.

Social edits the family approves

Short vertical clips for Instagram and TikTok are cut from the same footage. The family approves each one before it is shared, and guests or children who should not appear are left out.

Music approved for each use

Music captured at the event and music added to a public clip can have different usage rights. The family supplies tracks it has approved for each delivery and publication channel; Esteban edits with those choices rather than promising that a song will remain available on every platform.

How does a family plan the video of a quinceañera? The shot list for the night, and deciding what gets shared.

Which moments of a quinceañera belong on the shot list?

The ones the family will want to see again. Getting ready at home or at the salon, the portrait session if there is one, the Mass or blessing when the family includes it, the arrival at the venue, the entrance with the chambelanes and damas, the father-daughter waltz, the change from flats to heels, the last doll if the family keeps that tradition, the surprise dance and the toast.

Give the videographer the running order with approximate times and the names of the people who matter most, such as the godparents and grandparents, so they are filmed on purpose rather than by chance. The highlight is built from that list, which is also how the family can check that nothing important was missed.

Who decides what is posted on social media?

The parents. The quinceañera is fifteen, so the family approves every clip before it is shared and decides whether it goes on the family's accounts, on her own or nowhere at all. Guests who appear clearly, and especially other children, should be comfortable being shown; when in doubt, the edit uses wider shots or leaves them out.

Venues sometimes have their own rules about filming and posting, and the family confirms them with the venue. For public posts, music needs to be licensed or chosen from the platform's library, while the private highlight can keep the songs from the party. Agreeing those points before the date avoids re-editing later. The event video editing page covers recaps of other celebrations.

Before you send footage

Questions before a family books the video.

Can Esteban film the quinceañera in person?

Yes. On-location filming in Miami-Dade or Broward is a paid add-on scoped per project, based on the venue, the hours of coverage and the moments the family wants. The Local Presence package is from $800 per production day and includes pre-production, filming and editing. If another videographer already films the event, Esteban can edit that footage remotely; the Starter package is from $100 per video.

Can guests' phone videos be edited into the highlight?

Yes, and they often catch moments a single camera misses, such as the grandparents' reaction or the dance floor from inside. Ask guests to send the original files through a shared folder, not videos downloaded from a chat app. Vertical and horizontal clips can be mixed, and the edit evens out colour and sound so the film still feels like one piece.

When should the family book the edit?

Before the date, so the shot list, the deliverables and the songs are agreed while there is still time to plan. If the party has already happened, send the footage and a list of the moments that matter most; the edit is scoped from what was recorded. Delivery dates are confirmed in the written quote rather than promised in advance.
