Hosts / Short-term rental managers

Tour reels for vacation rentals, edited from your own footage.

Film the unit after cleaning, room by room. Esteban edits it into a vertical tour reel and a listing cut that show the property as it is, with captions and room labels guests can follow without sound.

Based in Fort Lauderdale, working across Miami-Dade and Broward. Remote editing: from $100 per video. On-location filming is a paid add-on scoped per project; the Local Presence package is from $800 per production day.

What a short-term rental tour needs from the edit.

One walk, not a montage

Guests are checking whether the place fits their trip. A tour that moves from the door to the living room, kitchen, bedrooms and outdoor space answers that faster than a montage of pretty corners, and it doubles as a pre-arrival video.

Accurate beats flattering

A very wide lens can make a bedroom look larger than it is, and a misleading tour turns into a disappointed review. The edit keeps proportions honest and labels each room, so the video sets expectations the stay can meet.

Ready between turnovers

Filming happens after cleaning and before the next check-in, often in a short window. A fixed shot list, the same for every unit, lets a host or cleaner capture usable clips quickly and lets a manager compare properties side by side.

How does a host or manager get tour footage worth editing? One shot list for every unit, and what to send with the clips.

What shot list works for every rental unit?

The same one, every time. Start outside with the building or front door, so a guest can recognise it on arrival. Walk in and pause in the living area, then the kitchen, with one close shot of anything guests ask about, such as the coffee maker. Move through each bedroom and bathroom, then the outdoor space and the view, and finish with what the listing already mentions nearby, such as beach access or the pool.

Keeping the order fixed means a cleaner or co-host can film it without direction, and a manager with many units ends up with tours that look like they belong to one brand. Film in daylight with every light on, and keep personal items and guest belongings out of frame.

What should a property manager send along with the footage?

A folder per property, named the way the listing names it, with the original clips straight from the phone and a short note of the facts that can appear on screen: bedrooms and bathrooms, the feature that matters most and the wording of the booking link. Anything that changes, such as nightly rates or availability, belongs in the caption rather than the video, so a reel does not go out of date.

Say where each cut will live: a vertical reel for social, a horizontal version for the listing or a direct-booking site, or both. Add the logo if the properties carry a brand. The real estate reels page shows the pacing these tours follow.

Before you send footage

Questions before a host or manager sends footage.

What should a host film for a vacation rental reel?

Film right after cleaning, with the lights on and blinds open: the entrance, a slow pass through each room at chest height, the kitchen, the bathrooms, the bedrooms with beds made and the outdoor space. Add the view, the pool or the walk to the beach at the time of day guests use them. Hold each shot for several seconds and keep the phone in one orientation for the whole set.

Can one shoot cover several units for a property manager?

Yes, when the units are scheduled back to back between stays. On-location filming is a paid add-on scoped per project; the Local Presence package is from $800 per production day and covers pre-production, filming and editing. Managers who already have footage can send it for remote editing on the Starter package, from $100 per video.

Is there published property work to look at?

Yes. The real estate reels page shows six vertical property reels Esteban edited: an outdoor opener, bedroom walkthroughs and other room-by-room pieces. They are listing-style reels, not vacation rental clients, and they show how a property tour is paced and cropped for a phone screen.
